Elrond

I always loved to the prologue to The Lord of the Rings, especially the design of the Elvish armor. I originally started this project as a simple likeness study of Hugo Weaving as Elrond. Over time I kept coming back to this model to learn a new texturing skill or to use it in test lighting scenes. I recently had a bit of time for personal work and wanted to finish this project before moving onto the next one.

The detailing and color map was done using Texturing.xyz multi channel faces pack. I textured in Mari and rendered in Maya/Arnold, all within an ACEScg color pipeline. The hair was done using XGEN.
